Thumper was bred, owned, and trained by Dee Dee Anderson. He was her first male Golden Retriever and her third OTCH. He was fun to train, loved life and children, and was extremely devoted to Dee Dee. He earned High in Trials in both the US and Canada. In 1990 Thumper ranked eighth in OTCH points earned by a Golden Retriever, and 16th all breed. Two of his puppies also ranked in the top 25 all breed that year. They were, Cher - OTCH DD's Cher OBHF, who ranked 12th; and Kelly - OTCH DD's Calaveras Sparklin Gold WC, OD, OBHF, who ranked 22nd. This was an amazing feat. Thumper was one of the top obedience goldens of his time.
